At YWAM San Francisco, right in the heart of the Tenderloin, DTS is a five-month discipleship journey that challenges, equips, and sends you to the nations with the Gospel. It’s a life-changing season of encountering God, growing in community, and learning to see the world through His eyes.
💡 Lecture Phase - know God
For the first three months, you’ll dive into powerful teachings that build your faith and shape your character. You’ll live and learn in the middle of one of the most diverse and challenging neighborhoods in California, a place where God’s love meets real human need every day.

Each day combines worship, teaching, small groups, and hands-on ministry right here in the Tenderloin community. It’s not just about knowing more, it’s about being transformed.
🌍 Outreach Phase - make God Known
After three months of training, you’ll step out for two months of outreach locally and internationally. You’ll take what you’ve learned and share it with others through evangelism, mercy ministry, prayer, and service. Whether serving on the streets of San Francisco or in a village overseas, you’ll see the Gospel come alive through your own hands and heart.
