We offer a Discipleship Training School (DTS) twice a year for people ages 17-29 years old. Located in the heart of San Francisco, we combine classroom learning and hands on experience in knowing God and making Him known. Students are given the opportunity to develop their relationship with God, in creative and innovative environments. Take what you've learned to the streets of San Francisco and beyond…

September school: Lecture Phase

The first portion of the DTS is spent at our training facility just blocks away from the hub of the city, located in the Tenderloin neighborhood. Surrounded by urban needs and challenges students are encouraged to dig deep in pursuing God through lectures, small group discussions, reading assignments, and personal reflection. In this significant location students experience God in extraordinary ways. God reveals himself through the life and people of the city.

Outreach Phase

DTS students will spend two months in target nations doing daily ministry with a strong emphasis on evangelism and mercy ministry. Fall schools focus on SE Asia while Winter schools focus on Italy and one other country. Outreach enables students to walk out what they've learnt through practical, hands on involvement. Previous outreach teams have been involved in the following; ministered in Thai slums, built a school in Morocco, visited university campuses in Rome, worked to reach those caught in sex-trafficking and used performing arts in the famous piazzas of Italy. The possibilities are endless! Come and join us as we influence the cities of the world.

January school

In January 2009, we will be running a 6-month long school that combines parts of the outreach phase and the lecture phase! Our hope is for students to get immersed in the city, learning about history, experiencing culture, interacting with the people, while also being discipled and growing in their relationships with God.

The lecture phase will still have the same great content and terrific speakers, but there will be 8 weeks of outreach spread out over the 5 months spent in San Francisco. Each of those weeks will have a different emphasis, such as campus ministry, homeless outreach, Asian immigrants, justice issues and children's programs.
